We are back in Oaksterdam after the whirlwind tour of various east coast points.

I'm feeling a little too fried to post travelogue, but I love y'all and can talk about that, even if I didn't get to see you, and so meme-age:

I like you because you are are an awesome mixture of sweet, strong and caring. When I saw your name on the Free Press masthead at some point, I said to myself, "Holy shit, they've actually got someone thoughtful/considerate/intelligent working there now." ;.)

And yes, do come on up to the Bay Area if you guys get a chance. We've got a futon (and are not afraid to use it), and can mosey 'round town.

yeah, and within six months, they closed shop. :o So much for compassionate conservatism? Or something? :) My inner libertarian is happier now anyway.

I love your ability to be goofy and/or academic as appropriate, and your attention to the well-being of others--celebrating the good and commiserating over the bad. Your crafting skillz are also l33t, as chmod the thesis bear will attest.

Also, your head smells pretty.
