Current: Enjoying creating a home with the professor man; work is a swirling swirl of anxiety over projects and institutional change, but my people are fabulous. Am currently going through another stint of semi-disability due to injury. This too shall pass, right?

June 2008-June 2009: Well, a lot of last year pretty well sucked, but it's looking more and more like it was a blessing in disguise in the end. This year is much better as a result. I'm seeing a very wonderful, sweet and nerdy fellow, buying a condo right where I was hoping to, getting in a decent amount of travel (and seeing folks) and work, though stressful these days, involves good, smart and funny folks.

Summer 2007-May 2008: I don't want to say I'm redefining myself, because I'm essentially the same person at the core. But I will need to navigate a new way of life without Bobsquatch by my side. It's going to be a rocky process, but I hope to travel along with grace, humor, tears and the help (and hlep) of my friends and family.

August 2005 - July 2007:
I am rissymonster -- hear me roar (that is, until the pierogi are ready for eatin'). Currently living la vida bureaucratic (but for a worthy cause and with good people) in Oakland, and hanging with my main squeeze b (and others). I am more likely to use livejournal to catch up with what folks are doing and more targeted posts of the "hey, we're going back east--anyone home?"-type posts, but who knows. Thanks to cybersattva and laura_md for sitting down with me and getting me started--once I got a few starter friends sorted out, this whole crazy secretcodenames business seems less daunting.
