Moments of joy ahoy!
Tag, I'm it! And I get to experiment and see if I'm reading the FAQ re: lj tags right. If links work, I am. If not, poopy.

phaedrusdeinus hath tagged me, having been tagged himself by sigerson, to "List 10 things (in no particular order) that bring you a moment of joy and tag 5 friends to do the same."
1. The picture of the little girl gleefully playing in mud that currently serves as the background image on my laptop. Also, that my laptop is named Fancy Boy.
2. Having my toenails brightly painted on the mat during aikido practice. ("I'm kicking booty (or getting booty kicked), and my toes are soooo pretty and girly.")
3. Being back on the mat for aikido practice (even with the only-falling-on-one-side-so-far restriction).
4. Snuggling.
5. Coming back to my desk after crazy meetings to find gifts of dark chocolate or marshmallow peeps from co-workers, or sharing pop rocks with them.
6. Head-banging to the Bangles' cover of "Hazy Shade of Winter."
7. Fall foliage - there isn't a lot in the Bay Area to speak of, but there are some maples on our street, and they turn pretty reds like back east, and I get to kick around in the leaves.
8. Storytelling with friends.
9. My sparkly green bowling ball.
10. Flaky crust (pie-type).

1) It will soon be fall. Even though today is approaching 90, it will only be 78 on Friday.
2) penguins. (but that's a gimme)
3) riding on the Metro with the Muzh on a twice-daily basis.
4) finishing Sudoku and the crossword by the time I get home.
5) yummy dinners that the Muzh cooks for me.
6) our birdfeeder, and the birds who visit.
7) being able to take all the classes I want without bidding! Yay!

9) my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration next weekend
