Oakland, sometimes I love you so hard.

This evening, I went first to a farewell happy hour for a friend of mine who's leaving her non-profit. Said happy hour was held at a cute little bistro inside a portion of an old-school car dealership. On three sides, bistro; on the fourth, a little wall and windows to the dealership display room.

Then several of us proceeded to West Oakland for the Crucible's Twisted Fiery Circus, a collection of fantabulous fire art, in sculptural, water, and musical forms. The pretty and shiny were represented in fine fashion. Fire!

And, worth the price of admission alone was Dance Dance Immolation! Great googly moogly, that was super fun. Even if you do get fire shot in your face for repeated mistakes. So, if you're at burning man or they have this again at the Crucible, and someone asks you if you want to play, the answer is HELL YES!
